Fears over ‘meth’ drug in cold remedies – The Telegraph

Large packs of common cold and flu remedies will be banned because a chemical in them can be used to make the illegal street drug crystal meth, or methamphetamine, it was announced today.

The General Register Office for Scotland (Gros) said there were 421 drug-related deaths last year, 85 more than in 2005, representing a 25% rise.
